Abstract & Presentation Information 
  • Abstract submissions will OPEN on February 1, 2023 - Watch for submission details to come!
  • Abstracts are due February 18, 2023, 11:59 PM CST
  • The abstract (300 word maximum) should include the following:
    • Statement of the purpose​
    • Statement of methods used
    • Summary of results to support conclusion [results and conclusion may be pending for abstract submission but must be included at the time of presentation]
  • Do not include: tables, graphs, images or columns​
  • Do not include references in the abstract.  You should include references in your slide deck as you present the full information.
  • Total word count of the body should be less than 300 words (this does not include title or author)
Along with the abstract the following materials must be submitted by each presenter:
  • Presenter CV (please save as PDF and title as LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_CV_2023)
  • Presenter disclosure Form as a WORD document (please title as LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_DISCLOSURE)
  • Primary Preceptor or Residency Director Curriculum Vitae as a PDF document (please title as LAST NAME_FIRSTNAME_PRECEPT_CV_2023)
  • Primary Preceptor or Residency Director Disclosure Form as a WORD document (please title as LAST NAME_FIRSTNAME_PRECEPT_DISCLOSURE)
       Primary preceptor - defined as the person who has final review and approval of your presentation content.
  • NOTE: These forms are required to provide CE  for the presentations through Rush University Medical Center.  The Disclosure Form is linked below.
  • All fields MUST BE COMPLETED in the submission form. Sections to complete: Title of Educational Activity, Section 1: Biographic Data, Section 4: Conflict of Interest, Section 6: Statement of Understanding. For RUMC presenters, please uncheck Section 3.
  • By submitting the above by February 18, you are agreeing to present at the ILPRC 2023 conference.

  • Plan for a 15 minute presentation, followed by a short 3 minute Q & A (18 minutes total for your time slot); there will be a two minute cushion between each presentation; with three presentations per hour. 
  • Formatting and background are at the discretion of the presenter, but please keep the view clean.
  • PowerPoint(R) presentations must be submitted by April 11, 2023 IF conflict was identified.
  • PowerPoint(R) presentations must be submitted by April 25, 2023 IF no conflict was identified.
    • Presenter and preceptor or residency director names, credentials, school or work site must be on the title slide.
    • Presentations should contain ONE (1) learning objective using one of the valid knowledge-based verbs in the list below: 
      Classify, Define, Describe, Discuss, Explain, Express, Identify, Label, List, Locate, Match, Name,
      Outline, Recall, Recognize, Record, Repeat, Report, Restate, Review, Select, State, Summarize.
  • Disclosure slide must be included and contain the following sentences: 
    • In support of improving patient care, Rush University Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
    • This activity is being presented without bias and with or without [choose one] commercial support.
  • Slides must include preliminary or final results and conclusion for the project.
  •  Slides must include references as you present the full information.
  • Slides must include at least ONE poll-the-audience question. Note that each learning objective must have audience assessment of learning. Polls will be conducted using the chat box.
  • Your computer must have a  camera as you must have webcam on during your presentation.
  • ALL presenters must register as attendees by May 1, 2023.
